Have you ever been loved like Arjun Reddy?

Hola peeps!

I am back after a long gap and this time I am here to talk about a movie that just won't leave my mind and yes it is #ArjunReddy, a Telugu movie that made waves across everywhere.

I am not someone who is drawn to watch Telugu movies heck I don't even half of their names. #SorryNotSorry. My preferences lay in Bollywood and Hollywood but somehow I was drawn by the posters. There was something different in those posters, a raw appeal screaming that this is not run of the mill stuff.

And if you are reading this expecting a review, then let me warn you are in for a disappointment. I am not a critic neither am I going to write a critic about it now. All has been said and done. Then what am I going to do? I am going to write about few scenes that I loved and those will stay with me for a long time.

First is the holi scene in the rival college where Arjun comes to fight with the guy who humiliated the girl he loved. The most beautiful aspect of that scene was it was not a typical scene where the hero beats the goon and then he runs of with the girl to some remote hills to sing songs; the beauty of the lied in Arjun’s vulnerable side. He was angry so he beat up the guy but more than anger it was his fear that made him vulnerable. The thought of what will happen to her when he graduates the college, who will protect her, will she be safe will he be able to protect her innocence? All this questions made him take a promise from the baddie that no harm will come his beloved. When things went south he broke down with the girl because his fears were no different from hers.

There was such intensity, passion and rawness when he said that “we all have that one person who is the centre of our universe and without them we are lifeless, and for me this girl is that.” His voice was shaking with emotions as fear, anger, love and helplessness gripped his heart and made his stomach churn. And yes guys can cry and boys do cry and so did Arjun cried.

Arjun is not your regular guy everything for him is in extreme. He falls in the category of bad boys with golden hearts and an awesome Royal Enfield but unlike other bad boys Arjun doesn’t have a back story which makes sense to him being the way he is. It’s as simple as that’s how god made him and that’s what you will fall for in that guy.

I have more in store and depending on the reviews I will be back talking about my other favourite scenes.

Till then adios.

Love
Sweta

Absolute Barbecue's - An absolute delight

So last night me and my husband made a sudden plan to visit Absolute Barbecue's aka AB's in Madhapur, Hyderabad at 8 pm and landed up there at around 9 pm. Rule number one for Sunday dine out, always make reservations in advance. Although we arrived without a reservation, the staff was sweet enough to accommodate us after asking us to wait for some time.

I was more than ready to wait after hearing it's praises from my brother and we got lucky to get a table. We walked into a packed restaurant, bustling with families, friends and couples. The first thing that made a mark with me was the ambience of the place and the humble staff. After settling down nicely we were served the usual grilled food, roasted corn, mashed potato wedges (these are yummy) but I was there for the special wish grill that they promote themselves to be.

A special mention to the cinnamon pineapple, it is a must have for everyone who is visiting AB's. What sets apart AB's from other grills is the taste, even the usual starters taste yummy, special mention here to chicken and prawns.

We took our sweet time to saviour the taste of the starters but I couldn't wait to move on to the wish grill and we weren't disappointed. We had a range of food to choose from Emu Bunny, Quail, Shark fish and Bunny. Only thing I missed was octopus, I have never tried and my brother had specially recommended it.

Better luck next time Sweta!

My favourites from the wish grill was bunny Emu and shark; somehow squid wasn't up to the mark. It left a squishy taste in my mouth with it's smell and taste. I can I have eaten better squid dishes but apart from that everything was a delight.

Another favourite was the chicken and coriander soup. Just perfect!

The main course was amazing too! my favourites from there has to be the fish curry and mutton curry, especially the mutton curry which just melts in the mouth.

No write-up on AB's can be complete without mentioning their desserts range. The dahi vada's were to die for and so was the phirni and mousse. Only thing I found missing was they arranged the dessert without naming it, my husband who doesn't have much of sweet tooth didn't knew half of the things there so I had to educate him. I'd like them to name the desserts too for the diners convenience.

And yes how can the meal be complete without ice-cream and I tasted the ice cream with pan flavour. It was a first for me and I totally loved it, so much I ended up eating twice.

AB's had been a delight altogether except the point that staff weren't attentive few times, we had to request repeatedly for spoons and plates and even the grill was closed without asking us which was a disappointment.

After a hearty meal where we eat till our heart's content, we left the place at around 11.15 with a resolution to come back again.

Until next time adios..

Snip & Snap - The Hair Story

What makes a girl feel special? A good hair day of course!

So after deliberating and contemplating for days while my hair suffered from spilt ends and dryness, I finally gave in and walked into my favourite salon in Hyderabad, Jawed Habib's salon in Srinagar Colony. Why do I love that place? It's amazing in every aspect, the ambience, the staff and the services. This time was't any different for me, the moment I walked I was made to feel special.

We started off with conversation about what I wanted and since I am a confused soul I left the decision to my stylist Praveen and he didn't let me down. A special mention to Praveen here, he is the most interesting person I had come across. We spoke on topics from hair care to wellness, the IT sector, anything and everything. I am sorry I couldn't get his pic,, he got busy with other clients. After a nice relaxing shampoo and a mini message which I wanted to continue for some time, it was the time for snip and snap.

I have to say Jawd Habib's staff managed to impress me even this time with their services because they gave me hair cut which not only got rid of my split ends but also gave me bounce in my crown part which is quite flat and dull. Praveen showed me some quickie tricks to add bounce and do styling to my hair without damaging it.

If you all want nice and bouncy hair eat a lot of guava's and blackberries. Do apply hair oil just an hour before you shampoo off your hair. Mix coconut oil and a little sasron or rai ka oil aka mustard oil, trust me it works wonders. Always apply lukewarm and message on the roots to increase the blood circulation.

To tackle my oily scalp I have been recommended Wella Professional Resist shampoo and Enrich hair mask.

Can't wait to try that out and let you all know how is it.

But thank you Jawed Habib's Salon for making my hair day experience so relaxing and enriching.

I am sharing the link for their salon, do visit one at a place near you for an unforgettable service.
